Hey everyone!

So I just joined this group and I’m so glad I found it! I hope you all don’t mind if I just say a little (or a lot) about me and my boyfriend. I’m 23, he’s 25 and we’ve been together over 2.5 years. We moved in together roughly 5 months into our relationship. I’m from Colorado and he’s from South Carolina. We have lived in Colorado for most of our relationship but bounce back and forth between the two states. Last winter he decided to stay out there to be closer to his family and I wanted to come back to be closer to mine, which we are both 100% understanding and supportive of those decisions. We spent 4 months apart last winter and when we finally saw each other again in February it was so strange! He flew out to Colorado to come see me and we both looked so different to each other it took a little bit to get used to. Anyway, we’ve spent the summer together up until this past Sunday because he recently got a job as a piano player on a cruise ship! He’ll be gone for 3 weeks and then he’ll head back to SC where he plays music at a piano bar there. It will probably be October when I see him again. Despite our weird arrangement, we have an incredibly close bond. I am so in love with him and his family and I trust him more than I trust anyone. It gets difficult sometimes, especially after going from living together for over a year and seeing each other everyday to not seeing each other for months on end. The real bummer is that we usually FaceTime and talk on the phone a lot but since he’s on the cruise he doesn’t get any service and he has to purchase WiFi packages in order for us to be able to communicate. Even though it hasn’t even been a week I miss him like crazy and I can’t wait to see him again! Whew! Sorry for that super long message and thank you if you actually read the whole thing!
