Internship worries??

So I’m in my senior of college and I graduate in spring 2019. I’ve never had any internships due to the first two years not knowing what I wanted to major in and the last 2 years I was very depressed and the most I could physically do was work. I’m currently looking for internships for the fall but am not having much luck. Is it impossible to graduate from college without doing any internships? I feel if I do any it’s either in the spring or going straight into an internship after graduating. Any advice would be great!

it depends on your major and what you want your career to be. i would highly recommend trying at least one internship before graduation. but if you didn’t get one until right after graduation, i feel like that would be okay too!

If you don’t do an internship, make sure you try to find other ways to expand your resume. Get involved with research, become a teaching assistant, become president of a club, get published in the school newspaper, start a new community service initiative, or find a job on campus. All of these things will look good on your resume even if you don’t do an internship, although it is highly recommended. Also make sure to make some strong connections with professors, as they can write you good recommendations, which may help to make up for not having done as many internships as others.

I know some people that didn’t do internships. Some of them had a hard time finding jobs and some didn’t. It all depends. I would look for something. Start networking and making friends.
