Never been emotionally attracted... should I stay?
I never been “in love” with my boyfriend. We’re both in our 30s and it’s been two year now.
I have a heard time being intimate with him.
Even from the very beginning I just wasn’t into making out or cuddling him.
I feel turned off when anything goes beyond friendship.
With that said, he is my best friend.
I suppose it’s been more a companionship.
But I miss the feeling of desiring the touch of my partner.
I can’t tell if my mental/emotional unattractiveness to him is me holding back?
Or is he truly just not the right man for me, despite everything else (good timing, good person, physically attractive)
Or should I accept that this is “real” love. Companionship is better then butterflies.
I mean, I don’t even want butterflies. I want to look at my man and be attracted to his personality and respect him because the way he thinks.
I just have such a hard time doing that with my boyfriend and I can’t unblock it
