Birth control and period

Soooo I’ve been on my brith control pill for over a year now but lately my period is coming later and later. It used to be the day I took my sugar pill I would get my period but through the months it has turned into one day late, two and three days, making it shorter and shorter. I am worried that if this pattern continues I will eventually just start missing my period which will through my already anxious ass through a loop. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to either reverse this or stop it?
