I was trying to touch up my roots and my blonde highlights and I followed the instructions like I was supposed to and they said to start 1/4 from the roots and after i completed that part to wait 10 mins and then do the roots and after ive completed the roots to wait 20 mins. I decided to do this on my own

because I did not have the money to get to the salon to have it done. It looks like i might have not left it on long enough or its does not working for my hair. Im not sure what to do. Would it hurt to throw in some brown highlights? Or would that mess it up more? I read 'The opposite color to Red/Orange is Blue/Green. Because these colors are opposite, when they are both present they, in a way, cancel each other out. In other words, a purple/blue color will cancel out orange and yellowtones.' is that true? If so, where can i find these colors at?

(i like the blonde color on the bottom but its the roots and whats a little below it-reddish orange brassy color 👆)
