How did you know you were going in to labor what did you do and how long did it take to give birth

Answer

I woke up at 9am and was texting a friend in bed about how I only had a week left before my 38 week induction. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pinch near my cervix and a minute later I felt like I was tinkling on myself in bed. As I got up to investigate, I felt a tsunami of fluid rush out. It overloaded my underwear and spilled on the carpet. I gasped and waddled to the bathroom with my legs shut lol. I was shaking and repeatedly saying, “my water broke”. I was high risk and was going to pack my hospital bag that morning, so I was freaking out a bit. Called dh. His reaction...”😱seriously? Seriously?seriously?!” He came home and put the car seat in while I packed the bags (luckily I had a list at least). I just tried to keep calm as I soaked thru about 7 overnight pads 😳. 
Once the adrenaline rush calmed down, the contractions started. When we got admitted to the hospital it was 11am and I was 4cm. Fast forward 13 hours, I pushed DD out at the stroke of midnight.

Answer

I had contractions every 7 minutes for 13 hours which is how I knew I was in labor....48 hours of puking & dehydration plus an emergengy c-section later I had my baby.
