Mucus plug look alike postpartum?

I’m 8 weeks postpartum has sex for the first time since giving birth yesterday. Today I keep having a lot of mucus discharge like a mucus plug would look like but I’m wondering why I’m having that kind of discharge. Anyone else have had mucus like discharge during postpartum?

I’m 3+3weeks PP, haven’t had sex yet but the last two days I’ve been loosing a lot of mucus plug looking discharge. 
I ended up googling it, a lot of them say that you have a mucus plug before every period but it’s not big enough to usually notice.
It just means it’s your body getting it’s self back to normal. 
But be careful as your very fertile at the moment. Xx
