Why is it so hard to lose weight?

I find it damn near impossible - maybe due to my PCOS. In fact, whenever I lose a few lbs, it comes back with a vengence. I hate it. And I know I am not alone. What are your stumbling blocks, if any?

Well I have a chronic illness that makes it hard to exercise, so the dr put me on a medicine call Contrave, that's been helping me lose weight so well now. I'm down 20 in 2 1/2 months so far!

Since I turned 35 I can't get the extra 10 off if my life depended on it it's like a timer went off ok 35 no more skinny here's an extra ten happy birthday I get discouraged because I'm used to it coming off fast

Ask your doctor if you are a candidate for metformin.  It is much harder for people with PCOS to lose weigh.  Metformin will help with that and also prevent metabolic syndrome.

Feeling the same way! And also very scared I won't be able to lose helpful amount of weight to conceive because of all I've read about PCOS and weight - and also recent article/study that says women who are obese, only 1 in 600-ish likely to achieve normal weight, and if you are obese it jumps to 1 in 1200-ish --- that was a UK study. But everything read about weight and pregnancy and weight loss realistic goals is just depressing.

I have severe PCOS and I have lost 18lbs so far and I'm keeping it off. Myfitnesspal and drinking more water. Also drinking more fresh smoothies.

Hey I'm in the same boat. ...it's had for me to drop off my post baby fat. ..I would start excerising then when af comes I fall rite back not excerising. . But I am this time around but it's sooo hard. ..I'm 31 so don't know if that's a factor for me not losing weight fast. .. but what I  can said is keep trying don't give up. .I'm not

I'm in the same boat. :( it really sucks I've tried everything and I also have pcos. but I'm trying to be positive with everything is my life and try to love my body the way it is right now and if I do I think that'll push me to lose weight. I'm trying to lay off the soda it's all I drink. which is really bad. But I think if we have supportive people who will help push you and not be negative (like my mom & sister) it'll also help. :)
