Need advice. Help!!!

So today I seen a father who has been alienated from his teen kids for over two months attempt to talk to one of the boys at a lacrosse game. His kid went straight into the bathroom and into a stall, he father waited outside the bathroom door hoping he would come out and they could try and talk. The mother (the ex) was hovering around on her phone texting and coming by where I was sitting then back to check too see if the father was still outside the bathroom. Eventually the father went in and tried to have a conversation through the stall but was getting no where. He didn’t want to embarrass his son so he broke down and left. The father is now my significant other, he came and sat down beside fighting back tears. As soon as his ex who was now standing by the bleachers where we were sitting seen that he had come back she went back to her seat (with her new boyfriend). She shortly after sent the father this text and they had a conversation that go them no where. Is it just me or does she live in her own little world with no accountability.. she’s come and hit his car, screamed at him infront of those kids. Accused him of not making them a priority, moving away, not caring , leaving them, cheating. I’ve even heard her on the phone on speaker phone say some of these things, but when she’s called out of it she completely plays the victim. I couldn’t imagine hiding in a stall from my dad, maybe if he was violent but my significant other is far from it. I hope I have these in the right order. Any ideas how to fix this. He only wants to talk with kids and hear them, see them and be apart of their lives.

No reply to this last one because what do you say to someone who lives in another world and plays victim. ?!?
