how did you know when you were totally over your ex...the one you really loved?? i mean, when you can listen a song that used to be "your song" or can go to a place which was familiar to your dates, etc.?

I know these feelings all to well. sometimes you never truely get over someone. Sometimes they still have a special place in your heart. I am very lucky to still be good friends with my ex even whilst I’m with my current partner. But the answer to that sometimes you just come to terms with things, you learn to go back to doing things on your own, loving yourself, living YOUR life. But I can understand it’s hard not having that person there with you. But you can get through this, do things that make you happy and keep you distracted. Also very important to surround yourself with friends and family and try not to keep to yourself. I can’t really explain a how and a when but you know when you do. Hope this helps a sister out 💕

You are never “over” that ex. I think they always have a place in your heart. That ex for me was well over 9 years ago and I still listen to our song and think of him. This doesn’t mean I don’t love my husband because he is the best thing to ever happen to me but you always have your 2 great loves.

My ex was my first love. God, it took so long to get over him. However, when I met this amazing guy who would later become my boyfriend, he made my ex look like nothing. I never think about my ex anymore. I truly loved him so much, I thought he was the one. But wow, my current boyfriend is more than I deserve. Any memories with my ex are pushed back far into my mind.

When I stopped thinking about him everyday. Our wedding song still makes me uneasy (I was married for 10 years) but it doesn't make me sob anymore. It takes time though... you can't just will him away.
