Big belly, baby?

I’ve noticed some ladies have a pretty pronounced belly, looking like they’re about 7-8 months along and they’re only 18-20 weeks. Is this actually baby/uterus? My OB told me the other day that the top of my uterus is about 2-3” below my belly button at around 18 weeks. I’m not looking for an argument, I’m just simply asking :)

EveryBODY is different. Some of us had weight around our middles before pregnancy, and have longer or shorter torsos which make us look “more” or “less” pregnant. I’m 20 weeks and the midwife said my fundal hight (top of the uterus) is at my belly button which is where she expects to see it at this point. I’m so tired of hearing all the “you’re too big” “you’re too small” your idea of 7-8 months pregnant is totally different than somebody else’s. And IT DOESNT MATTER. If mama and baby are healthy who cares how big or small the bump is. There is no standard size by month. 
Here’s my 20 week. I might “look like” somebody else on here who is 15 weeks, or somebody who’s 30. Who cares 🤷‍♀️

I think height plays a big part in this as well. I’m 17 weeks and my uterus is 1/2 inch above my belly button. I’m only 5’3”. All of my other organs are being pushed up making it pronounced higher than the top of my uterus. This is my first and I’m not really sure how far along I look because I see so many women that are varying sizes lol.

It all depends on the women. Every pregnancy is different. Some women who have had babies before show sooner and have bigger bellies as their bodies have done it before and some may be smaller. Sometimes a lot of it is bloating. I am 19+3 with my 4th and I have a bump some say I'm small some say I'm big. My uterus is just above my belly button, I check sometimes as it's easier to see the real size of my bump when I lay down and I have feel baby moving and kicking up there.

I will be asking my doctor for sure. I have a friend that was my size currently when she went into labor. I can't imagine what I will look like since I am already so big, I am wondering if my placenta is just huge or something. (In the midst of me typing this baby kicked ♡♡♡)

I was starting to think I look noticeably pregnant then when I tell people that I’m 19 weeks they had no idea I was even pregnant 😂 I think everyone just shows differently!

I'm 5'9" and this is my first. I'm 19 weeks and really just started showing over a week ago. My bump is pretty far below my belly button and I am still wearing my ring. I also have a very long torso so most people can't even tell I'm pregnant yet...

everyone carries different. some their uterus tips forward early some later. some already had some belly fat that is being pushed out some were super flat before baby so it sticks out quite noticeably. most that have the big bellys already have already had children so they show sooner.  those with shorter torsos will show before those with longer ones.  it all just depends on the person.

I am 18 weeks and my baby had it's back pushing out just above my belly button earlier. Think it depends on the person. my bump is very prominent too and have been approached twice recently with "ohh haven't got long left now.." everyone's body is different and whether you have been pregnant before makes a difference too x

It totally depends on how your body type, your height, position of baby, and how many pregnancies you have had.
This is my second child and I showed very early! I am so tired of people telling me I look huge! 🙄
Both of my babies have been beech and you just carry differently. My baby is also measuring ahead of schedule...and a lot bigger than the app suggest he should be. 
If you are feeling like you are much smaller or much larger than you are supposed to be, just embrace it. As long as you and baby are safe and healthy, rock your baby bump no matter the size.
