Irregular periods and getting discouragef

Hi guys,

Been ttc for about 6 months.

I have irregular cycles, some months 39 days, some months 36.

I have been to my doctors and they say it's not so irregular to cause concern.

I have some downy facial hair on sides of cheeks which my mother and grandmother have and I am overweight. (But weight is consistent and I haven't gained a large amount and it doesn't fluctuate)....

I don't know what to do, I have no family history of fertility issues. And I have read about PCOS etc.

Can I have irregular cycles and be ovulating normally?
