Engaged and Broke

I want so badly to buy a simple dress, but even simple summer dresses are normally out of the budget. We're only doing a courthouse ceremony with my mother (who doesn't know yet), but we've not even been able to afford rings at a decent price. Sometimes it kills hope that we can do this this year, but no matter what we intend to be married this year rings or not, and if need be I'll wear one of my old dresses.

I'm just proving to myself everyday that big budget weddings aren't necessary to marry the one you love.
