Had my 12 week scan today. Baby was measuring 12 weeks which is perfect, two arms, two legs, could even see the individual little fingers. Heart was beating away and baby had the hiccups during the scan, as well as kicking me. All looked good until they told me that the back of the head/skull seemed too large and something wasn’t right. They couldn’t clearly see skin covering the back of bub’s head. I’ll post a pic, you’ll see the head is bigger than it should be. I just feel devastated, I don’t know what’s wrong with my baby. They mentioned Spina Bifida, does anyone know if this looks like it could be that? Will have tests done in the next week but the wait is going to be so hard. I just want to know if my baby is going to survive. Anyone been through something similar? After a MMC in December last year, we’re just heartbroken that something is wrong again.
