Indigo Lynn as boys name

Middle name has to be Lynn. It was my grandfather’s middle name, my mother’s, and mine. Plus we like the way it flows with Indigo.

We really love the name Indigo. It seems unique but not totally out there, no outrageous spelling, easy to pronounce etc. My husband’s favorite color is blue also, so he also gets to contribute to the name since no matter what first name we choose, the middle name will be Lynn.

Technically this is the name we have picked out for our first child, whether it be boy or girl, but we know that some people (aka our parents) view it as being “feminine.” We personally think it’s pretty unisex.

We would call them Indi for short, only difference would be we’re considering adding an e to the end, so Indie, if it’s a girl, but I like the idea of leaving it no matter what. I don’t think we have to go over the top with feminizing names just because you have a girl.

I’m sure our parents would get over it, and ultimately we’ll name our kid whatever we damn please, but just wanted to hear thoughts.

Last name starts with B, two syllables, if that helps give an idea of flow.

Also, we live in Los Angeles, so really not too concerned with our kids getting made fun of for unique names - my husband’s kids from his previous marriage go to school with kids named Shimmery and Moon, so 🤷‍♀️
