first Ct scan

I'm scheduled for my first Ct scan of the abdomen and pelvis. appt is 1130. I was told to arrive at 930. I have to drink a berium swallow. which I am familiar with. I am a NCMA. however I have never done one of these or had one done. if anyone has had one done could you just tell me what to expect. I tend to freak out a lot and if I have an idea of what I'm walking into all the machines might not be as bad looking at it seems just walking in... Tia
