14 month old and pretend play

🌻🍀🌲🌤🌬

Past few weeks my kid really got into pretend play: patting baby dolls backs, saying aww, putting them to sleep, ‘reading’ books, ‘talking’ on the phone. All awesome.

Today she started ‘reading’ anything with words. Her food pouch, her shampoo bottle. She follows the words w her fingers and uses what I’ve come to recognize as her reading voice. I am amazed she can recognize words as something to read regardless of where she sees them.

I’m wondering-is this advanced?? Or are toddlers all just so smart and, frankly, amazing?
