My baby girl is 4 weeks old, her umbilical cord feel off in the first week and her belly button has been fine up until right now with it looking like this. I'm very worried, what is this? I will be booking a doctors appointment but I'm very worried and looking for answers

go to doctor. they had to stick silver in my son's belly button for it to heal. It kept blEEDING

My daughters was the same way and the doctor told us it was a granuloma. They used silver nitrate on her belly button and it healed up. They explained it basically as a small piece of the umbilical cord that was hanging on. This is what hers looked like before they treated it.

My son went through the exact same thing, I became concerned and took him to his doctor. But it’s healing. Try not to worry so much
