When did you tell your friends about your period?

I don’t remember at all telling my friends. But my mom knew somehow. I had a month straight of severe stomach aches and bitchiness. Of course I didn’t know what was going on but my mom was waiting on it. The day I started, she was in the kitchen and I walked in and just said “mom—“ and she gasped and said “NO!!!!!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂

When I was in high school I saw no reason to tell anyone. But in college, a friend of mine told everyone. So I told her mine because we had the same time. She then told me that I should tell it to my boyfriend because "they need to know our pain" 😂😂😂
Since then I've been pretty open about it. Just letting people close to you know doesn't matter. It can bring people closer and or start up a new conversation.

I had my phone with me when I went to the bathroom and I pull down my pants and see blood. Literally the first thing I do is text my groupchat of girl best friends.

I was 11 and I had pe so I told my friend and then I also told my best friend. I told my boyfriend as well cus if anything he is my best friend and I’d trust him with my life he also knew there was something wrong with and I was going back to his anyway and he bought me loads of chocolate. Love him so much 💖💖

I was the first to start in my friends group and grade in school. So I kept it to myself for a while. Had to go to the nurses office to change my pads out whenever I was on it until I got to be the acceptable age.
