Move to the USA??

So it’s always been a dream of mine and my partner to move to the USA but I’m just wondering if anyone has done it before or know how? By the way we are from and live in the UK and if so why would any Americans tell us not too

My husband and I moved to the US from Europe 6 years ago. It’s difficult to get a visa, particularly under the current administration. My husband first went as a post-doc on a special visa, which you can only get 2 years after college I think. He then got offered a permanent job. He tried H1B but they ran out so he tried O1 ( only for researchers with a PhD). Then green card.

It's very difficult to move to the US legally - what type of visa would you be looking at ?

I moved to the U.S with my family when I was younger, our home country got ruined during a war so moved to the land of opportunity. We love it here, most immigrants who move here from war torn countries would tell you the same thing.

It can be expensive to live here, especially depending on where you’re planning to live.
