Mamas, how do you handle people criticizing your parenting?

My husbands grandma attacked my parenting big time yesterday and I’m still so upset about it. How do I let it go? I really don’t want to be upset. I just feel so passionate about how I raise my kids as I’m sure we all do and it really hit me in the heart. Any advice will help. Thank you

Meh. I shrug it off and tell them if they disagree they don’t have to be around my son or my parenting. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't go around those people 🤷🏼 Honestly, that's so ridiculously rude of her. I also truly don't give a shit about most people's opinions of most of my parenting, because my husband & I feel strongly that we are parenting as well as we can.

I'm a fantastic parent 🤷🏻‍♀️ other people's and opinions play zero role in my life and don't affect me in any way. I have a 14 month old daughter who is happy, healthy and thriving. And that's because of me and my husband and our parenting choices. I don't waste my time on people like that. Period.

This one is hard to respond to.  I need more info! I am responding assuming grandmas parenting is outdated and she is very opinionated that outdated is right.  I am also assuming you parenting is non traditional, but not harmful.
Certain things are going to met with resistance - especially if they aren’t “mainstream”.  
My SIL homeschools and my in laws (her parents) were NOT excited about it at first.  They had a lot to say about it the first year.  Now they are 2 or 3 years into it and my in laws don’t really complain about it anymore.
So give it time and try to ignore her.  Hopefully in time she will see your kids thriving and stop giving you a hard time.  If not, your husband will need to tell her to keep her opinions to herself.

I normally just brush it off. I know deep down they mean well but I let them know this is my child and I will parent my way. I'm open to suggestions but don't be offended if I don't use the suggestion. My fiances grandmother is notorious for giving me parenting advice and ensuring me I'm doing it all wrong, but I know we are fantastic parents to a wonderful little girl. Having confidence in your parenting skills will be a big factor in being able to ignore anything that bugs you.
