miscarriage?

my "period" came 2 days late.. really heavy bleeding for 2 days, minimal cramps, lots of small clots. dime size or smaller but a lot of them. prior to bleeding I felt like my boobs were full, I've been very hormonal. I had taken a few tests thinking I was pregnant. (almost 6 months pp). the bleeding stopped for a day and then today I had like an hour where I bled lightly and it stopped. bright dark red to just bright red, nothing brown. some almost pink in the pad.. I feel stupid calling the dr if itd just an abnormal period.
