I don’t know what to do with my son

Ratzy🐀

I’m due to give birth to baby #2 in end of January. It’s just me and my husband and because we moved to a different state we have no one here. The issue is I don’t know where I can put my son while I give birth. I need my husband at the deliver room and I definitely don’t want my son (21 month) to be there. My family are all in Europe and non of them can come unfortunately. My husband is happy to bring his mum here. The problem is she is over 66 years old, never traveled to Australia (she’s from Japan) and she doesn’t speak a word of English. My son is heavy and we live on the second floor so I don’t see how that will work. The second option is his niece, who’s also living in Japan. She’s only 18 years old and no experience taking care of a child, cooking, bathing etc. and she doesn’t speak English either or drive. I don’t know what to do, we don’t have any friends we can ask either. And I don’t have an option but give birth in Australia. Any tips please

Update:

Thank you for your opinions ladies. Made me think and we decided to bring both MIL and niece here so they can help each other looking for our son and also have a holiday in australia
