Embarrassing baby carrier question 🤦🏼‍♀️

Gosh I feel like such an idiot to post this question...

My babe is just under 6 months old. He really loves the Baby Bjorn Carrier now that he can face forwards. Instead of keeping him in the stroller when we run errands, I’d really like to start putting him in the carrier. How the heck do I do this? Sit down In the back seat and put him in the carrier after we park? Do I pick him up and put him in the carrier outside of the car? What do I do with the diaper bag? Do I even use the carrier while running errands? Lol ugh!
