What do you do when a stranger takes a picture of your kid(s) in public??

Question

I was peach picking with my kids and I turned around from picking a peach from a tree and this lady was literally using her phone to take a picture of my children??? I froze and was speechless! I can’t believe I didn’t say anything. 
Another time I was at Costco and an older man asked me and my husband if he could take a picture of our kids to show his daughter. My husband was like “uh, no.” At least that time he asked and we were able to respond. 
Has this happened to anyone before? How do you handle it?

Someone once took a picture of me and all my kids while we were at Target. Since I'm only 20, I have 4 step kids (they call me mom) and my own daughter AND I'm pregnant it looked like I had 6 kids and was way too young. Anyway I walked up and asked "did you just take a picture of us?"  and the lady tried saying something about how she's just never seen someone so young have so many kids, etc or whatever her excuse was I just told her to delete and asked what the fucked was wrong with her. She was embarrassed and deleted it. People are fucking rude!!!

My SIL walks straight up and confronts them. Says “please delete that photo of my child. You do not have my permission to take their photo. It is illegal, and if you do not delete it I will call the police. Let me see you delete it please.”
Works every time. I hope those people feel like crap because they’re creepy and inappropriate as fuck.

I'd be kinda pissed off really, even if their being totally innocent. Like, okay, you think my kids are beautiful, thanks. HOWEVER.... I really, REALLY don't know your Life! Or what you plan to do with these photos... And I need you delete it ASAP. I need to see you do it. Delete it from your gallery, and then go to your Cloud/Google acct as well and delete it from there too! Because I  know you have auto backup on!! Lol. Real shit. THERE ARE SOME TWISTED ASS PEOPLE OUT THERE

I just had to learn how to be an ahole pretty quickly... Speak up and say NO as soon as you notice something happening... Had to learn pretty quick that people want to touch my daughter all the time. I shield her immediately someone starts to comment on how beautiful she is. Thank you for the comment but you dont need to say or do anymore than that! It is creepy and hello stranger danger! Creeps are everywhere now and especially where I am from trafficking is getting worse. I would much rather be the ahole paranoid parent than have something happen to my daughter.

Would have walked up to her and said please delete that photo I saw you take of my children, and that it's weird to be taking photos of people's children especially without asking ! I was at Ripleys aquarium in Toronto and I caught people taking photos not just of but with a couples little girls and they were so frightened after they surrounded them and took their photos the poor little girl said we are not suppose to talk to strangers and the group of young people just laughed i ran to the parents and informed them and they took care of it. Now that I'm a mom I wouldn't be silent for my children i would speak up so next time I won't be silent for someone else's kids either. wrong is wrong.

I've asked a group of girls to delete photos of my daughter. They were taking them while we were out eating and my fiance caught them taking pictures. It took everything in me not to yell, because seriously is it not common courtesy?! people are so weird and rude these days.

Ugh my husband is the VP of a roofing company and one time I had to go get something from him while he was on a job. I took my son with me and the homeowner was outside and he just took a pic of my son on his phone! He was super creepy but I couldn’t say anything to him about it because like uh he was a customer! 😫😫😫
