Monistat when pregnant

I had BV (bacterial vaginosis) for the past week or so, and my midwife put me on a prescription for Flagyl. Unfortunately, that crap can cause yeast infections. Welp, it did. At first, my OB offered to put me on another prescription for it, and I turned it down. My husband had gone to get Monistat for me the night prior, and the OB gave us the okay to try it.

DON’T RECOMMEND. That crap burned me so bad. I was laying on the bed curled in a ball, sobbing because it burned so badly. My husband pretty much had to force me up to wash it out. I couldn‘t take the pain. So I’m calling the OB tomorrow and taking her up on the prescription. Sometimes the OB definitely knows best. Sorry, I needed to rant and complain a little bit. I’m feeling better now, thank God.
