Hi CCers, I believe this is the first time I'm ever posting something in CC, y'all always have great topics and I can never come up with anything.

Until today! I would like to hear your thoughts!

I'm talking with a friend who works for a large company that I will keep unnamed for now. They have offices all over the world and are in the tech industry. Nuff said.

He receives an email from a senior leader that says they need to change all of the verbiage in their software, emails and systems to no longer include the terms "whitelist" and "blacklist" because they are racially insensitive.

He is outraged, saying it's actually creating a larger divide and I wanted to hear your opinions!

Are they taking political correctness too far?

PS. I wasn't sure if this was technically a "race" topic, since it's in the form of being PC, but I will gladly move it if it's in the wrong place. Don't kill me! 😂
