Membrane Sweeping? Anyone have or doing?

Midwife told me today she can sweep my membranes... Something I haven't thought of.  Anyone have this done with good results?? Anyone plan on it and at how many weeks???

I had it done with my first. Went into labor that night. I believe I was 40 weeks. I'm going to ask about it tomorrow at my 38 week appointment

With my first my doctor only did it after I passed 40 weeks. He said there was too much risk before that point that the baby wouldn't be ready and itd lead to a longer, more painful delivery.  It worked as an Alternative to medical induction and made everything super quick! I was in labor for 8 hours with 15 mins of pushing (no epidural).

Had mine swept today it hurt and was uncomfortable but hopefully it works I have been having cramping for about two hours off and on I'm 39 weeks today lets see if it helps any

I had it done at 31+6 at 4:30pm and my son was born at 12:42am. It was obviously very effective for me.

Had it done with my daughter. Started having contractions every four minutes. Every case is different.

I'm 38+6 today just had it done very lightly so not really full on so don't know yet... However been having strong contractions for like several days which are helping the most. The membrane sweep hurt me a lot. She compar d the pain like contractions and not nearly as bad... Oy. Good luck!

I had mine done 2 days ago at my 38 week appt. it didn't seem to do anything, but I'll see if there's any change in 5 days at my next appt.

I just went in for my 38wk check up and I thought she was just gonna check me. She ended up doing a sweep without asking me. I didn't want one! Now I am so upset. I was so happy how things have been going and don't want to rush anything. Now I can't stop crying.

I had one with my second daughter who I was 5 days late with at the time. I had her about 12 hours later. Success! The strange thing was I was 3cm dialated when she began & was contracting to 4-5 throughout, she could feel the head she said!  I felt NOTHING... My births had all been very quick, she couldn't believe it! My 4th is due in about 4 weeks, I'm so excited! 😆😆

I had it done with my son I was already I think 2cm or 3cm dilated when my OB did it so It didn't hurt at all. I just felt some pressure. Still didn't go into labor for over a week tho. I would like to have it done again with this baby but I tested positive for GBS so now I'm just anxious about everything.
