✨ TIPS FOR A YEAST INFECTION ✨

Mackenzie

Yeast infections suck, we can all admit that. Even though everyone will most likely experience one some time in their lives, there are ways to move along the process. Here are some tips and tricks:

1. WHAT TO EAT

As hard as it may be, eat as little sugar as possible (including fruit). It just feeds the yeast. Try eating lots of vegetables and Greek yogurt. As well as drinking tons of water and raspberry leaf tea.

2. SUPPLEMENTS

I suggest taking cranberry pills to support vaginal health and to help ease some of the pain/itchiness. Vaginal cream also helps to heal and relieve irritation.

3. CLOTHES

Try wearing loose pants and underwear to prevent more bacterial buildup.

4. HYGIENE

Try to keep it as clean as possible down there. Use wipes every other time you go to the bathroom (Be sure to let it dry before you pull your pants back up though). Shower once a day using an all natural soap bar ( I use Dr. Bronners lavender soap) and clean like usual. Try to keep your hands on your vagina as little as possible. Make sure everything is dry before you carry on with your day.

5. SEX

I would try to not have sex. If you are having male female sex, it is possible that you could transmit it to your partner. Any kind of vaginal sex can also cause pain and discomfort. It can also prolong any symptoms. All in all, I would try not to masturbate or have any form of sex until you infection ends. It really sucks, but I would rather not orgasm for a couple days rather than it being painful and unhealthy for a week, maybe longer!
