Alcohol and IUI?

Question

I’m on my third IUI and I’ve asked my doctor if I should stop drinking completely. He simply says to “live my life”. I have reduced it to one or two on the weekends only. Have your doctors told you to stop drinking after an IUI? Has anyone gotten success from this? I’m currently 8dpo on my 3rd IUI and I get the feeling it didn’t work again. :/ just wondering what else I can do to help get the BFP.

I’m on my 3rd iui. The first two I skipped alcohol and caffeine almost completely, and they didn’t work. This time, I’m having a drink here and there, but not more than a couple at a time. I’m not getting wasted. You can’t put your whole life on hold because a drink or two before you’re even pregnant is not going to be the thing that comes between you and your baby. There are bigger issues that are keeping us from getting pregnant, and it’s not a drink, I know that for certain. It’s my husbands sperm issues and my irregular cycles, not one drink.

I stopped drinking completely during the IUI/TTC process. This last IUI I also quit caffeine and went low carb. We’ll see this week if it worked.
