Ivf and perimenopause

I am 41. I am in perimenopause. I signed up for new insurance that covers ivf for my age. My previous insurance only covered me up to 40 without some additional testing that I failed. I have higher fsh and lower Amh, not terrible though. Amh was 1.8 in April. Has anyone done ivf in perimenopause and been successful. Heck, has anyone been successful at getting pregnant at all in Peri?? My periods are all over the place. They last 2 days tops. I spot at ovulation and most of the time I don’t think I ovulate. I have low progesterone that causes the ovulation spotting. I have recently started surging earlier and earlier. I know common sense says to give up. But my daughter begs for a brother weekly. I don’t want to use a donor egg because mail away DNA kits have made anonymity impossible. I’m just so depressed that I can’t have another child. 4 years with no positive pregnancy test has taken a toll on me
