6 months away from boyfriend. Any tips to help with distance?

Me and my partner will be apart for some time since he's got this new job and can only get vacation days to come and see me after a period of 6 months. 
Any tips on how to cope during this time? Tips on maintains the closeness even though he's not here? 
Any helpful advice or personal experiences would be appreciated 😓

I can't see my boyfriend for another 2 years. and he has been gone since February. and there is a 14 hour time difference. SOOOO, here are my tips for a happy long distance relationship: Know each others schedules, and plan when you can talk. Talk as much as you can. Ask weird questions, send pictures of whats going on. give him the good gossip of where he use to live. lol. share your life with him and he his. tell him the good things. Don't be jealous or sad he is gone. I have a hard time with that but it is alright because I will see him after. time and distance are just words. they mean nothing to me if after 2 years I get to marry that man. he isnt my whole world. but he is the love of  my life. Communicate! it's so important and don't text him every minute of the day it gets annoying. don't expect an immediate response. there's so much. BUT IF THAT PERSON IS WORTH IT DO IT GIRL

Also talk with others like your parents or friends on how you feel. And make sure your partner is okay and happy with the distance. Its super hard to express the way you feel being so far away but its okay if you communicate well. also my biggest advice which is super important: I cannot stress more about it for sooo many reasons - NEVER FIGHT OVER TEXT, NOTHING IMPORTANT SHOULD BE OVER TEXT! CALL! or video chat! Texting can ruin the strongest relationship. you could say something and could mean something harmless but he could take it the wrong way. if you do text, then be super detailed and if your joking, freakin state your joking. him too! Texting has almost ruined my relationship many  times. We survived though to that  agreement. ALSO NEVER LEAVE MAD! don't hang up like a 5 year old! be  mature and keep your emotions intact!

Do things that make time pass but that you enjoy, listen to music (it helps me) send them things that u see on social media that reminds u of him. Think of special gifts to buy or make and send it to your partner. Hang out with friends more often if you can
