So basically I use a hairbrush I got from Walmart for my "Me" time and basically my friend told me to be careful because it might be made out of something toxic for you and that I should be careful, because it might cause problems with fertility later :(
Please help me with advice!

You shouldn’t be putting anything inside your vagina that isn’t meant to go in there. I wouldn’t worry about it being “toxic”, but it could be dirty and cause an infection. Not to mention the handle could be porous, so sanitizing afterwards would be difficult.

put a condom on it to be safe. condoms are cheep and give you some extra lube. if they're textured adds something extra to the experience.

But some actual toys or stick to your hands. There’s too much risk long term. You’re probably fine, but I wouldn’t recommend doing that again. There’s a way to get nearly free toys online if you’re broke and most pharmacies have back massagers which are basically the same thing.

I use my hairbrush. I just make sure to clean it before and after use with soap ☺️
