Abuse or not?

So me and my husband have been married for about a year (almost) and he used to be the sweetest guy. As soon as we got married he changed and started being very mean and saying rude comments like he wishes he didn’t marry me, my personality is disgusting, and that he never wants to touch me again. Well this morning he was in the bathroom for an hour and I actually thought he had left. So I went to go in the bathroom and the door was locked so I knocked and he got upset that I wojld knock I said ok well what is taking you so long I have to get ready for work and he said “I’m done” and storms out and slams the door. Yelling how I’m impatient and ridiculous and I ruined his morning blah blah blah. So I just told him to stop and that I had thought he left that’s why I knocked and he got dressed and was yelling and screaming and then started slamming stuff around and scared my dog who started barking at him. I sat to comfort her and she was shaking (he lets the dog out in the morning) then he grabs the dog leash and snatched it away from me dragging the dog. I grabbed the back of his shirt to stop him because he was really scaring the dog and he turned around and looked at me and shoved me into his dresser. I have bruises all over my back and I’m pretty shaken up. He’s never put hands on me before. Was that uncalled for and abusive or am I overreacting?
