Consent of touching

Not sure how to word the title but this is about how in my opinion people are going to far with the whole touching consent

Back story I work in a small to medium company selling tropical fish we work right beside the customers as in among them right looking buying etc it’s the nature of the job

A new girl started and we have this old man late sixties comes into the shop harmless half deaf half blind but touchy he will rub your back or shoulder or give your side a tickle playfully

Well the new girl ask did he need help he said no then when he was ready came up behind her and tickled her for attention she served him then went to the boss saying how not ok it was for anyone to touch her etc she then since has called the police on this old man which I think is out of order she never told him not to do it again or expressed she didn’t like to be touched I think she’s completely wrong doing this the man is harmless yes he shouldn’t touch people I personally dnt like being touched but hes just trying to be friendly so I put up with him I dnt for some of the other touchy customers but I just told them not to and they dnt now if they did after I had told them to stop then I would take it further never needed to though most people that’s all you need to say like
