High school boy
Okay so I'm a freshman in high school and I like this boy that I met at a band dance I thought he was really cute and he's sweet. So I recently talked to him on Snapchat he's a junior btw. We texted for awhile and idk if he flirted with me but this was our conversation
Me: yeah me and my bf broke up awhile ago
Him: yeah I don't think im so good at relationships
Me: I bet your fine at them
Him: I bet I can prove you wrong
Me: I bet I'm right
Then he said something weird him and his gf broke up awhile ago so idk what happened but it sounded serious but this is what he said next
Him: I can't.... Memory lane hurts...
Me: wdym
Him: I don't want to talk about it
Me: okay I respect that
Then we went back to the conversation and it was fine but after texting for a couple our he randomly said hey I gtg my phone is about to die and im hungry then I said okay see ya and he said later idk if he meant for that to happen but it's been a couple hours and he hasn't texted so I think I'm just like being extra but I really do like him he just seems like he has issues with his ex and that still hurt him so idk if I'm wasting my time with him or I'm overreacting but should I text him first or wait for him to text I don't want to make it seem clingy or anything so what should I do?
Okay so update! I texted him first and we talked from 9 to midnight and the more I talk to him I really like him but he was telling me how he won't have time bc of junior year and work hes worried he won't have time for a gf so idk if that was him letting me down easy or what but I told him okay well when u think u have time for a gf u should text me or something but then I thought the conversation would end there which I didn't want it to but he kept it going which gave me some hope.
