Relationship Timing?

Okay so I just started dating seriously this year and about two months ago I met this great guy who I love being around but he’s 21, I’m 17 (legal where I’m from dw) and I think I just have unrealistic expectations about what dating is like. I thought we’d go on dates a couple times a month at least and we would talk a lot (he kinda gave me the impression thats what would happen to be fair though). I’m not at his stage right now so idk but I thought we’d hang out a bit more (we fucked around a couple times within the first month but we haven’t seen each other for like a month now). He says he’s super busy with work (I totally believe him) and I don’t work (I babysit).

So my questions are:

Is there a general timeline of how often we should see each other/ for how long/ when we should hit certain relationship points?

Should I not expect to see or hear from him much when we go back to school?

Am I rushing things/are my expectations too high?
