Need advice.

So I met a guy on a chat thing and he is like a bit older than me. We started talking and sending cute face pics to each other, we were talking for about a month. After a few weeks he told me he loved me and I told him I did too. I moved to Germany because of family issues and depression and when I got to Germany lost my phone and couldn't get a new one for over a month. I couldn't text him and felt really bad, but now that I have one I texted him and it says he has shut off his phone. I dunno if he is like really upset or anything but I've been searching on like chats and social media for his name to see if I can find a way to contact him. Should I keep trying or leave it because I really love him. 😐
