Day care or not ?

I’m a ftm and recently things at home with my husband have gotten really bad to where I’m now taking step forward to look for a job and make my own money but I don’t have any close relatives to watch my kid for me because they all work & I barely have friends. I’m scared to put my son in day care because of all the bad things I’ve heard or I’m scared he won’t stop crying because for these first 8 months of his life all he’s known is me basically so I’m just scared.. can any of you tell me if you recommend it or not, how was the first day of leaving your child?
