For mommas with 18-20 month olds ...please tell me about your sleeping routines. Is it fight to get them down?

My husband (not my 20 month old’s father) is very patient and understanding but makes some offhanded comments about how abnormal it is that she fights me or needs me sometimes to help her. 
Once asleep she sleeps for about 9-10 hours straight. She sleeps in her own room and I have a camera on her.
Our only battle is getting her to sleep...sometimes it takes 10 minutes and other times it takes 90 minutes 😐.
I’d say on average 20-30 minutes.
Is this extremely abnormal? He says my (now 4.5 year old) stepson went to sleep every night within minutes -
I am thinking he got lucky. They also did cry it out - which I will not do (I have many reasons).

definitely normal. my 20 month clings and climbs our her crib.  she used to go right to bed but now she fights for a good 45 mins

My son takes about 5 to 10 minutes to go to sleep. I put a night time diaper on him and pjs like 630/7,  we watch a show on Amazon the same one every night and he drinks his milk, I turn the show off he nurses still (yes hes 21 month), we go brush his teeth, we say goodnight to like 10 stuffed animals, say goodnight to Alexa lol, have her put on rain sounds, he shuts his door, we say prayers and I lay him down. Mind you I am holding him this whole time.. if he tries to get down off the couch doing "quiet" time I tell him no sit up here or your going to bed and he will climb back up 90%of the time if not I turn it off and we put him to bed. My son is also in a big boy bed already as he sleeps better, he has a pillow and a extra blanket. He sleeps 12 to 13 hours a night and takes a 2 to 3 hour nap. If he is having a hard time which is rare to sleep I do do cry it out though usually never more then 10min. It's also what my doctor recommended as she said he should be falling asleep completely on his own the older he gets the harder it will get and longer they can cry. Good luck Mama this age can be tough yes my 3rd, dont worry about what your hubby says hes not the one putting him to bed you are.

My son is 19 months and it is a toss up. Some nights, he will go right down without a fuss and sleep all night. Others, he fights it like crazy and wakes up multiple times. I just try to keep bedtime routine as consistent as possible and hope he will learn to cooerate.
