Anyone else doing an alternative glucose test?

It looks like it's glucose testing time. This is my second pregnancy. I didn't have a glucose test at all with my daughter. Last year I read about the ingredients in the glucose drinks and read a lot of bad things about it. I spoke to my doctor about it and she didn't even hesitate to tell me that i don't have to do the drink thing. Instead they will give me jelly beans. I still have to eat them within a certain time frame but I can also eat very lightly before my test as well. Anyone elses doctor using an alternative for the glucose test?

I’m just using the drink. But, while I eat pretty healthily, I’m not overly concerned with what’s in every single thing I put in my body. If I’m not that way in my regular life I don’t see the point in doing it with this test. 
I will say, I think it’s most important that you get the test done period, so if your doctor is okay with an alternative method I don’t see any issue.

I was told I can drink a can of Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, or Coke this time. I drank that terrible drink with my other two and it made me soooo sick so I'm definitely going the other route this time!

I’m just using the drink. I was told to eat high protein before fasting for two hours.
