How soon is too soon to take a pregnancy test?

Good Morning,

I have been feeling nauseous on and off since August 8th which is the day I had light bleeding and light cramps and it was about 2 dpo. I have had light cramps/pressure on and off. I’m due for my period on 8/20. I’m feeling anxious but I also don’t want to take the pregnancy test too soon. My spirit is telling me that I am but my husband and some family are like it’s too soon to know and that my mind is making me think I am pregnant b/c I want to be so bad. What do you guys think?
