Advice

It’s finally starting to hit me that my husband is leaving today for basic training and will be gone for 5 months. We have a 4 year old daughter and a 7 month old son. We’ve been together for 8 years and this is the first time we will be separated for a while. I just want to know what are some advance or if anyone’s been in this situation before and a how they stayed strong especially with handling 2 kids on your own. I know for the first 2 months we will have no contact except only by letters. And I know it will be hard but I just want to hear some of your guys stories on how you guys dealt without seeing your other half for a while especially without being able to talk to them.
