What’s his deal?

So me & an old high school classmate have been texting back & forth for about 2 or 3 weeks now! We were texting every single day, being super flirty, talking about relationships, life, what we’ve been through with girls/guys. Poor guy has been through some heartbreak! He’s had FWBs that he caught feelings for but suppressed them bc the girls just wanted the sex & didn’t feel the same way about him, & one of them just stopped talking to him all together & wouldn’t text him back after she moved. He also said that some girls will entertain him & after they have sex, they just disappear bc they only wanted sex. He’s extremely attractive to me, physically & mentally (he seems intelligent). I have been through it too where the guy just disappears after sex & I’ve been heartbroken! So we’ve been talking & two nights ago, we admitted that we like each other but are taking things slow & just chillin. We have openly expressed that we would love to have sex but we wanna do things right & take it slow & not let list cloud our judgement. He said “I LIKE you baby” & then he said “I’m just so reserved”. We texted a bit more before I went to bed, but the next day, I heard NOTHING from him! He watched my story on Instagram, but he didn’t text me or anything all day yesterday. & I haven’t heard from him today either. What’s that all about?
