HSG advice

Amanda

I went through my first HSG. And I just wanted to share my advice.

The entire procedure was like 1 hour. That included the time I wait for the doctor.

I had to give a urine sample first.

The procedure itself was not too painful. I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 it was about a 7/8. I took 800mg of ibuprofen 1 hour before my procedure.

I would say the most painful part was when they stuck the object up my uterus to put the dye in. I just stayed calm and breathed calmly. It was the a little painful to breathe in and out. After it was all done I had some cramps that were mild. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic for 3 days to prevent infection. The results were great the doctor said my tubes are clear!

Gearing up for IUI round 2. Currently on CD 15. I have my midcycle ultrasounds Tuesday to check the size of my follicles. I am currently on Letrozole. And my ovidrel shot will deliver on Saturday.

I don’t know if this will help anyone but I wish you all baby dust. ❤️
