“Serious conversation” took an unexpected turn

So from August 1st until the 11th I was on a trip to Budapest with my mom. The day before it was time for us to go home, my boyfriend texts me saying “When you get back, we need to have a serious talk. Nothing bad, just something I need to discuss with you.” Now I’m sure y’all can relate when I say that even tho he says it’s nothing bad, the whole “serious talk” is scary and nerve wracking as FUCK. My head is reeling with so many things that this talk could be about and I can’t tell you how nervous it’s making me. We get back into the US, he picks us up from the airport, once we get alone time after dropping us off at the house I ask him what this serious talk was about. Y’all, his response had me crying tears of joy. “You being gone has made me realize how much I really do love you and that I really do want to spend the rest of my life with you. The first two days you were gone, I couldn’t sleep because I worried about you so much being in another country. The fact that I wouldn’t be able to get to you if something happened (and also I’ve seen Taken way too many times). I’ve just realized that I can’t live without you and you really are the love of my life.” Prior to him saying this, my mom was already referring to herself as his mother in law. I am so going to marry this man.
