No heartbeat via Doppler...

I’m 12 weeks today and had an appointment to get blood work and a Pap smear (blah!). The doctor tried to find my little one’s heartbeat with a Doppler.. about 5 minutes later he stops an tells me he is sending me to get an ultrasound down the hall just to make sure my pregnancy is still viable. I won’t lie and say I wasn’t freaked out a little bit but my husband and I remained as calm as we could, said a prayer in the exam room and headed down the hall. They call me in and that’s when I start to panic. My first pregnancy was high risk and we never heard good news at each appointment until I delivered at 28 weeks. I was preparing myself for the worst. But right when she put the wand on my stomach I saw the most beautiful sight.. a perfect baby with a flutter in it’s chest! My husband and I both sighed in relief with tears in our eyes. The tech told me that he/she was extremely active with a strong heartbeat of 176! God is great and we are thankful! 💙
