I’m so tired of people telling me to wait to have a baby!!!

I am so sick of people saying “wait to have kids” or “you’re still young, you have time”

Shit like that pisses me off.

I’m TWENTY SIX years old. I have been married for THREE YEARS. (Together for 6y)

There is no reason people should still be telling me to wait to have kids. I have wanted to start trying for a year or two already but we had to keep putting it off. And now I’m finally almost there, we’ll start trying in December.

I think what really irritates me about it is just that you have no idea if a person is ready to be a mother or not. You have no idea if they’ve BEEN trying and been praying for a baby for years... with no success. So don’t say stuff like that.

“Wait to have kids. They’re so much work. Your whole life changes....” etc etc.

Well no shit. Even if I wait, they’ll still be a lot of work when I do have them. If I wait till I’m 30, does that give me more experience with babies? NO. I’ll never have the experience until I have my own.

But no one is ever really prepared for it you know. There’s no magical time. Sometimes it just happens. Sometimes you just feel ready in your heart and soul.
