Is the gender blood test accurate?

How many of you have done the blood test to find out what you are having sooner? How accurate is it?

Mine was accurate. But double check that either your insurance covers it, or that it's at least cheap. I got a surprise $8k bill in the mail for that blood test because my insurance didn't cover it. I found out through research that the company my OB used was a research company & after testing my blood would use it for further research. Turns out they are government funded & can't legally bill you & I caught them on it. So just be careful & do some research. The company we got the test from was Natera.

Any blood test from the doctor is always accurate. Mines was and people I know that have done it said it was accurate for them also.

Mine was accurate. We had it done at 12 weeks and the results came back at 14 weeks. We gave the results to my sorority sisters and they hosted a Gender Reveal for us at 15 weeks. We had to pay out of pocket for some of the cost, but it wasn't that bad. Since I wasn't high risk, my husband's insurance wouldn't cover it fully.

I did one with both my girls, & it was accurate with both! Plus I love that you can test for abnormalities also! Not that it would matter, just more time to prepare. ❤️
