When did you announce?

I’m almost 9 weeks and wanting to announce. My siblings and parents already know. When would be a good time ?

I am now just 8 weeks and I had to tell my boss last week because as I lost a little bit of dark brown blood, the doctor gave me a one week rest medical certificate (happily baby on the US looked perfectly fine with a good heartbeat).
It feels a bit weird that my boss knows but none of my friends or family...
We were planning to tell around week 14. But now I feel a bit nervous and hoping everything goes well. can’t wait for the end of first trimester.
One thing also is that I find it so hard to hide it to everyone when you are not feeling the best...nausea, ligament pain, tiredness...any advice?

Personal choice. My doctor told me that risk of miscarriage drops to 3% after hearing the heartbeat. This is #3 for us and we’ll announce when baby is born.

It’s a personal decision but I chose to wait until 12 weeks after we’d been to dr and heard heartbeat again. I miscarried my first at 10 weeks and I was super nervous about saying anything sooner than 12–we did tell family much earlier tho as we knew we’d need their support heaven-forbid anything go wrong

Risk of miscarriage still exists until after 12 weeks when it plummets to less than 1%. Many people wait until after then for that reason.
I announced at 11w 5d once. Found out at 12 week scan the heart had stopped. I wait till after that scan now. It’s uncommon to happen, but I just don’t think it’s worth the risk.

I told family as soon as I found out. I waited until I hit the 2nd trimester to tell everyone else.
